At least 90 people have been killed and 200 more wounded in an attack by an Al-Qaeda suicide bomber targeting soldiers in Yemen's capital, Sanaa.
A man in a soldier's uniform detonated explosives attached to his body in al-Sabeen Square, near the presidential palace, on May 21.
The soldiers were rehearsing celebrations of the national day on May 22.
Al-Qaeda's wing in Yemen said in a statement that the attack was in revenge for the army's offensive in southern Yemen and that it had targeted the Yemeni defense minister.
Reports say the defense minister and his chief of staff were present, but were not hurt in the blast.
President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi vowed in a statement that the government will press on with its war against Al-Qaeda regardless of "sacrifices."
