Moldovan voters appeared to be united around the wish for a better future as they elected a new president on November 3. In the capital, Chisinau, an explicitly pro-EU voter told RFE/RL: "We want to be where life is better." Another voter talked about "peace," a resonating topic amid Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine, a country that borders Moldova.
