NATO Ends Iraq Training Mission

NATO has ended its training mission in Iraq.
The mission closed down after the collapse of a deal to extend it because Baghdad refused to grant its troops immunity from prosecution.

NATO's training mission in Iraq was aimed at helping to develop Iraqi security forces, and as of November 2011, 12 countries were represented in its force of around 120 soldiers.

All are now due to leave by year-end.
