The documentary Navalny, directed by Canadian director Daniel Roer, has won the BAFTA, Britain's premier film award, for best documentary. The film, which won the award at a ceremony in London on February 19, follows the events surrounding the poisoning of the Russian opposition politician in August 2020, including his treatment and rehabilitation in Germany, his attempts to investigate the incident, and the Kremlin critic's arrest and imprisonment upon his return to Moscow.
