Moscow police have detained two women who came to pay their respects at the grave of late opposition politician Aleksei Navalny in Moscow's Borisov Cemetery, OVD-Info reported, citing a witness to the arrest. June 4 would have been Navalny's 48th birthday. Police first detained a young woman at the cemetery for allegedly displaying extremist symbols, the witness said, and then a second woman was detained when she called on police to leave the young woman alone. In Novosibirsk, police detained two women who had come to lay flowers at the monument to the victims of political repression -- a site used by activists to honor Navalny's memory.
