Reports from India say at least nine people were killed and about two dozen were injured when a bus driver apparently went on a rampage in a central Indian city.
The incident occurred during rush hour in the city of Pune on January 25, when the streets were crowded with children going to school and office employees on their way to work.
Some 40 cars were reported mangled as the bus driver sped through the streets, ramming into whatever vehicle came into his way.
Police were reported to have chased the bus for an hour before they managed to stop it and arrest the 30-year-old driver.
Police said the man was an employee of the local bus company.
There was no immediate word about a possible motive for the rampage.
