U.S. President Barack Obama will visit the site of the December 14 school shooting that left 26 people dead, 20 of them children.
Obama will attend a vigil in Newtown, Connecticut and will meet with victims' families.
The victims were 12 girls and eight boys, all ages 6 to 7, and six school staffers.
The dead adults were all women, including the principal, ranging in age from 27 to 56.
The suspected gunman, 20-year-old Adam Lanza allegedly killed his mother, Nancy Lanza, before the massacre. Lanza shot himself after the killings.
Meanwhile, top U.S. Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein said on December 16 she would introduce a bill banning assault weapons when the new Congress convenes in January.
