Russian authorities say they have detained the owner of a cafe in the western Saratov region where an explosion killed at least one person and injured more than 20 others.
The Investigative Committee said on January 27 that the person detained was suspected of violating safety requirements.
According to investigators, the explosion late on January 26 at the Rendezvous Cafe in the village of Lysiye Gory was caused by a gas leak, the TASS news agency reported.
Earlier reports said there had been two explosions.
About 40 people were said to be in the establishment when the incident occurred.

Twenty-two people were injured, including two children, and 14 of them were hospitalized.
A man who was celebrating his 60th birthday in the cafe later died of his burn injuries, the reports said.
A spokesman for the regional Health Ministry, Aleksandr Kolokolov, said four of the injured were in serious condition.
Lysiye Gory is located near the regional capital, Saratov, some 775 kilometers southeast of Moscow.
The tragedy comes after a blast caused a deadly apartment building collapse in the city of Magnitogorsk on New Year's Eve.
Investigators have said they were focusing on a household gas explosion as the cause of the explosion that killed at least 39 people.
Although terrorism has been cited in the Russian media, particularly after the Islamic State extremist group took credit for both the apartment blast and a subsequent minibus explosion that killed three, the federal Investigative Committee has maintained that it is focusing on a gas leak as the most likely cause.
