The Pakistani military says 14 suspected militants have been killed in air strikes.
In a statement issued on August 29, the Pakistani military said it had targeted militant sites in northwest Pakistan near the Afghan border earlier on August 29.
It said the military action took place in the Shawai area of the North Waziristan tribal region, where the Pakistani Army has been battling the Taliban since June 2014.
The death toll could not be independently verified as the conflict zone is remote and off-limits to journalists.
Pakistan has been battling a homegrown Islamist insurgency for over a decade.
Officials say more than 2,800 militants have been killed since the launch of the latest offensive.
