Thousands attended funerals for three Pashtun activists killed by Pakistani police in the country's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. Mourners gathered on October 10, a day after police fired at members of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM). The nonviolent group campaigns for Pakistan’s estimated 35 million ethnic Pashtuns but was recently banned by the government for "security" reasons.
