Pakistani Police Use Tear Gas Against Khan Supporters (Video)

At least one officer was killed and dozens of people were injured outside Islamabad after police fired tear gas at supporters of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Officials locked down the Pakistani capital using shipping containers to block major roads. Supporters from Khan's opposition Tehrik-e Insaf party demanded his release, new elections, and the strengthening of the judiciary. Khan has been in prison since August 2023 over corruption charges that he claims are politically motivated.
