Iranian writer Javad Saeedipour has made one of his books available on his blog for download, apparently because he wasn't able to get a publishing license from Iran's Culture Ministry, which has to approve all books before they are published.
He writes that he's made his book available also on goodreads.com, a social-networking website.
Saeedipour's book, "Excitement," is a collection of short stories.
Saeedipour says that the blog where he has made the book available has been filtered in Iran.
"This book has been made available for free [download]. But for those friends who can and are willing to contribute to the cost of the book, a card number has been [included] in the book," Saeedipour says.
"I've done a lot for this book. Please help so that the book reaches more people."
