Slain Photojournalist Danish Siddiqui: A Life In Pictures

A photo of Danish Siddiqui during the Pulitzer Prize ceremony in New York in 2018. Siddiqui was killed amid clashes near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border on July 16. According to Reuters, Siddiqui had been wounded in the arm by shrapnel earlier in the day while reporting on fighting in the border town of Spin Boldak. After having that wound bandaged, he was speaking to local shopkeepers when the Taliban attacked again, killing Siddiqui and a senior Afghan military officer.
