Aleksei Navalny's announcement this week that he plans to run for president and give a voice to Russia's disenfranchised has suddenly made the 2018 election much more interesting.
It also raises an important question: Can the populist antiestablishment tsunami that has engulfed the West also strike Russia? And can Navalny ride the wave?
