Jailed Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has apparently been transferred to another penal colony.

The Russian agency supervising the country's penitentiaries (FSIN) announced Tolokonnikova's transfer on October 21 but did not specify where she has been transferred.

Tolokonnikova's husband, Pyotr Verzilov, said he had no information about her transfer or her whereabouts.

Tolokonnikova went on a one-week hunger strike in September to protest conditions and alleged death threats by officials at the penal colony in Russia's Republic of Mordovia where she was serving a two-year sentence.

She ended her hunger strike after prison authorities promised to relocate her, but resumed it last week after authorities failed to move her to another prison.

Tolokonnikova was jailed for two years over a protest against President Vladimir Putin's rule in a Moscow cathedral in early 2012.
