RFE/RL Journalist Mourns 16 Of His Students Killed In Kabul Attack

The Kabul bureau chief for RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan has paid tribute to 16 of his students who were killed in an attack on Kabul University on November 2. At least 22 people -- most of them students -- died after three gunmen stormed the campus. Samiullah Mahdi teaches at the university and spoke to his students trapped on the campus by phone as events unfolded. The Islamic State extremist group later claimed responsibility.
