At least two policemen were killed and four others injured when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in Afghanistan's western Herat Province.
Local police chief Shir Agha Alokozay said the incident occurred early on May 6 in Herat's Obe district.
Alokozay said the bomb was set off by a remote-controlled device. Police have arrested a suspect with a remote control.
There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack, but Taliban militants frequently target Afghan security forces and NATO-led troops.
