A Russian court on April 3 rejected an appeal filed by a 17-year-old against a six-year prison term he was handed in November for throwing Molotov cocktails at recruitment centers in St. Petersburg and Kirovsk to protest Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Yegor Balazeikin was arrested in February 2023. He said at the time that his actions were strongly influenced by the death of his uncle, who was killed after volunteering to fight in Ukraine.
