Spokesmen for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev stated that both men and senior officials in both the presidential administration and the government have complied with a law that obliges them to submit their income declarations for 2012 by April 1.
In addition, members of both houses of the Russian parliament also must submit declarations.
The declarations will be published online later this month.
The declarations are expected to be scrutinized with particular attention this year after several officials of the ruling United Russia party were forced to step down when bloggers revealed they owned undeclared assets in foreign countries.
