Russian Filmmaker Gets 3 Years In Prison Over Posts About War In Ukraine

A Russian documentary director was sentenced on March 20 to three years in prison by a court in St. Petersburg on a charge of distributing false information about the country's military. Vsevolod Korolyov was arrested in July 2022 after he posted two reports online about Moscow's ongoing invasion of Ukraine, namely about alleged atrocities committed by Russian troops against civilians in Ukrainian towns and cities.
