Russia's state-owned arms exporter says it has not received a request from Egypt regarding the provision of helicopters or other equipment for two Mistral-class carriers that Cairo has agreed to purchase from France.
Rosoboroneksport General Director Anatoly Isyakin told a press conference in Moscow on October 27 that if such a request arrives, "we will, of course, cooperate."
In September, French President Francois Hollande announced the agreement to sell to Egypt two Mistral-class helicopter carriers that were originally sold to Russia.
France later canceled that contract because of Russia's 2014 annexation of the Ukrainian region of Crimea and Moscow's support of separatists in eastern Ukraine.
Isyakin also said Rosoboroneksport has supplied $115 billion worth of arms to 116 countries over the last 15 years.
The company currently holds export contracts worth $45 billion.
