Three Officers Of Russia's Federal Security Service Arrested On Corruption Charges

Three officers of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) have been arrested on corruption charges related to a 5 billion ruble ($55 million) bribery case, Russia's TASS news agency reported on January 8. Officer Aleksandr Ushakov was placed in a detention center and charged with organizing a criminal group using his official powers. Two other officers, Aleksei Tsaryov and Sergei Manyshkin, who agreed to cooperate with investigators, are under house arrest. All three served in the FSB's anti-corruption department.
