An Mi-8 helicopter crashed in the Siberian region of Altai Krai on July 27, killing at least six people and injuring seven others. Emergency officials said the helicopter fell and started burning after its blades hit an electrical wiring pole while landing near the village of Tyungur. Three of the injured people are in serious condition, they said. The West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office said it has launched a probe into the deadly crash. The Investigative Committee also said it started a criminal case on the "violation of safety regulations while operating an aircraft."
