Nuclear physicist Grigory Klinishov, one of the creators of the first Soviet two-stage thermonuclear bomb known as RDS-37, was found dead in Moscow on June 22. Russian news agency TASS quoted emergency services as saying the 92-year-old scientist died by suicide. Klinishov left a note in which he said goodbye to his loved ones.
