A Moscow court on December 27 issued an arrest warrant for Dmitry Dovgy, a former top official of the Investigative Committee and a former lawyer for Sergei Furgal, the imprisoned former governor of the Khabarovsk region. Dovgy, who currently resides in Israel, is accused of financial fraud. Furgal's arrest in 2020 sparked months-long mass protests in the Khabarovsk region's capital, Khabarovsk, and several other towns and cities in the region.
