Russians go to the polls this weekend to elect the 450 members of the federal parliament, the State Duma. The outcome of this vote is widely predicted to be similar to the last one in 2011 -- a win for President Vladimir Putin's ruling United Russia party. But that hasn't stopped leaders of the Communist Party -- the rulers of the Soviet Union until it collapsed in 1991 -- of promising voters a return to the glory days. (Reuters)
