Putin: Ruble Can Keep Rising

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the ruble can continue the recovery it has made in recent days following a huge fall on December 16. Speaking at his annual news conference in Moscow, he said the government had taken "adequate measures" to deal with the situation on foreign exchange markets. The ruble has lost about half of its value since the start of the year, amid collapsing oil prices and Western sanctions overs Ukraine. (Reuters)
