Russian President Vladimir Putin won’t travel to India for the G20 summit on September 9-10, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on August 25. Peskov said Putin is concentrating on the “special military operation” -- what the Kremlin calls its invasion of Ukraine. Putin has an outstanding arrest warrant issued in his name by the UN's International Criminal Court (ICC), although India, like the United States, China, and Russia, is not a signatory nation. Putin also didn't travel to Indonesia for the G20 summit last year in the face of boycott threats by several countries if he did attend amid Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
