British prosecutors have accused two Russian men of poisoning former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter with a deadly nerve agent in March on behalf of the Russian state. In a statement to Britain's Parliament after the charges were announced on September 5, Prime Minister Theresa May accused Russia of "obfuscation and lies" in trying to deflect blame for the attack.
