A military court in the Russian city of Sochi has sentenced two soldiers to terms of at least two years in penal colonies for refusing to return to the war in Ukraine. Conscript Yuri Maltsevsky, who had already served in the war, received a two-year sentence in a penal colony for disobeying an order after he refused to return to the front. Contract soldier Ivan Kashin, who had also completed a tour in Ukraine, was sentenced to two years and three months in a colony settlement after refusing to return to battle, the court verdict said.
