The deputy director of Russia's space agency has been charged with fraud over suspected embezzlement. Oleg Frolov and two other suspects are accused of a "large-scale fraud," the Investigative Committee said in a statement on December 22. "Frolov, using his official position, took part in a criminal conspiracy with two other co-conspirators," the statement said. "In the course of the execution of [a] contract, they stole budgeted funds during the purchase of equipment." Frolov will be held in pretrial detention pending his trial, the statement added.
