Russian authorities said a Ukrainian drone was shot down on March 10 in the Leningrad region near the village of Fornosovo after operations were suspended at the nearby Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city. The airport resumed operations after about a two-hour pause. Three planes were forced to land at backup airfields during that time, the Federal Air Transport Agency said. Aleksandr Drozdenko, governor of the Leningrad region -- which is adjacent to St. Petersburg -- said airspace was sealed off due to the drone.
