Russian Passenger Train Derails In Krasnodar

The scene of the accident in the Krasnodar region, where five passenger train cars on the long haul "Novosibirsk-Adler" route derailed on the Kislyakovskaya-Krylovskaya stretch on July 7.

At least 75 people were injured when a passenger train derailed in Russia’s southern Krasnodar territory.

A spokesman for local law-enforcement agencies said 16 of those hurt in the July 7 accident were hospitalized with serious injuries.

According to preliminary report, the accident took place on the rail line between Krylovskaya and Kislyakovka stations at 4:52 p.m. Moscow time.

In the accident, five cars of the Novosibirsk-Adler passenger train went off the rails and are reported to have flipped on their sides.
