Russian Freight Train Derails In Region Near Ukraine Border

A freight train derailed in Russia’s Belgorod region, near the border with Ukraine, due to what the rail operator said was an “interference in operations.” The derailment happened late on September 10, the authorities said in a statement the next day. The Russian government-linked Baza Telegram channel alleged that the cause of the derailment was an explosion on the tracks.
