Russian authorities say they have identified the suicide bombers responsible for two attacks that killed 34 people in the city of Volgograd last month.
The National Antiterrorism Committee said on January 30 that the authorities have also arrested two suspected accomplices.
The committee said the suicide bombers -- identified as Asker Samedov and Suleiman Magomedov -- were members of a terrorist group based in Russia's North Caucasus region of Daghestan.
It said they were identified shortly after the attacks but their identities were not revealed "for security reasons."
It said the suspected accomplices -- brothers Magomednabi and Tagir Batirov -- were arrested in Daghestan on January 29.
The bombings at Volgograd's main railway station and on a city trolleybus raised fears of further attacks before the Winter Olympics in Sochi next week.
