Russian officials say security forces killed two militants and one man during a raid in the North Caucasus's volatile Daghestan region.
The National Counterterrorism Committee said security forces raided a residential house near the city of Buinaksk after trying to convince those inside to surrender.
The committee said one of the militants killed was ringleader Nabi Migitdinov, suspected of being involved in several August attacks in the region.
The owner of the house was also killed.
