Russian Forces Advance Deeper Into Ukraine's Donbas

A Russian tank drives past destroyed residential buildings in Popasna, in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine. Russian forces are attempting to encircle Ukrainian positions between Popasna and Syevyerodonetsk, according to reports from the area. 

Natalia Kovalenko, 52, stands inside her damaged apartment in Popasna on May 26. Two days earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy accused Russia of seeking to destroy everything in the town.
