The mothers of Russian soldiers involved in Moscow's invasion of Ukraine angrily confronted the governor of Siberia's Kemerovo region, asking if their sons were "lied to" and being used as "cannon fodder." Amateur footage of the testy exchange at a meeting between Sergei Tsivilyov and locals in the city of Novokuznetsk was posted online as early as March 5.
