Russian Man Gets 3 Years In Prison In U.S. For Smuggling Military Technology

The U.S. Justice Department said on July 17 that a 52-year-old Russian man was sentenced to three years in prison for smuggling large quantities of American-made, military-grade microelectronics to Russia. Maksim Marchenko, who was arrested in September, pleaded guilty in a New York court in February to one count of money laundering and one count of smuggling goods from the United States.
