Girls who wield a mean bow and arrow are all the rage these days thanks to the astounding critical and box-office success of "The Hunger Games," Gary Ross's lively adaptation of Suzanne Collins' young-adult bestseller.
Grossing more than $200 million worldwide in its first weekend, this postapocalyptic romp stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, a highly skilled archer who uses the bow and arrow to great effect in order to survive vicious gladiator-style contests.
Everdeen's prowess with the bow has apparently fueled the biggest surge of interest in archery since Moldovan-born Lilia Stepanova wowed audiences in the first season of "America's Got Talent."
All of these budding sharpshooters, however, will have their work cut out to get anywhere near as good as Russia's Iza Privezenceva.
This unassuming redhead from Murmansk has had hunting enthusiasts raving about her skill and speed with the bow.
Check out this video of Iza in action. Not only is she freakishly fast, she is also uncannily accurate (as you can see near the 1:25 mark).
Definitely the sort of girl you'd like on your side when the apocalypse comes.
