U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders urged his supporters to back his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, saying she "must become the next president." Before Sanders spoke to delegates at the opening session of the Democratic National Convention on July 25 in Philadelphia, many of his supporters booed when Clinton's name was mentioned. But Sanders warned them against sitting out the election saying that civil liberties would be at risk if Donald Trump wins the presidency. (AP & Reuters)
