Police in Pakistan say at least seven people have been killed and around 20 others injured in a bomb explosion near a Shi'ite Muslim procession in northwestern Pakistan.
Police said four of the dead were children.
The roadside bomb explosion occurred in Dera Ismail Khan on November 24.
As part of the Shi’ite mourning month of Muharram, members of Pakistan’s minority Shi'ite community had been marching on that day to mark the anniversary of the death of the Prophet Muhammad's grandson Imam Hussain in 680 A.D.
In a bid to prevent attacks targeting Shi'a by hard-line majority Sunni Muslims, Pakistani authorities had suspended mobile-phone services in many cities and towns because cell phones can be used to trigger bomb blasts.
A Reuters report quoted police as saying the bomb on November 24 was set off by a television remote control.
