The father of former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden says he has secured a visa to visit his son in Russia.

Appearing on ABC TV on August 11, he said he wants his son to return home at some point. But he said he thinks it is unlikely his son could have a fair trial.
Lon Snowden's lawyer, Bruce Fein, who also received a Russian visa, said they will travel there "very soon."
