Officials say a suicide bomber killed at least seven people in an attack at Kandahar airport in southern Afghanistan.
The provincial governor's office in a statement said that women and children were among the dead.
The bombing occurred on January 19 near a NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) airbase, which is one of the largest military bases for international forces in southern Afghanistan.
A spokesman for NATO forces in Afghanistan said that a car bomb was detonated at the entry control gate of the airfield, causing Afghan civilian casualties.
He said there are no ISAF service member casualties.
