U.S. troops cordon off the site of a bomb blast in Kandahar.

Three bomb blasts in southern Afghanistan have killed at least 11 people and wounded many more.

Afghan officials say all three attacks -- two by suicide bombers -- occurred in Kandahar city on January 3.

In the bloodiest incident, four children and a police officer were killed when a suicide bomber ignited his explosives near a police checkpoint.

There has been no claim of responsibility for any of the bombings.
