Reports from Syria say at least 12 people, most of them students, have been killed by an air strike that hit a secondary school in rebel-held Raqqa.
The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitoring group with a network of opposition sources across the country, said the death toll was likely to rise because some people were critically wounded.
Opposition activists based in Raqqa, a city of about 250,000 people that has been under rebel control since March, published a list of 14 people they said were victims of the September 29 strike on the school.
They said more than 30 people were wounded.
Reports about the air strike came as fighting continued across the country -- including the outskirts of Damascus, where the observatory says rebels staged an overnight assault that killed at least 19 government fighters.
