Tajik police detained a woman who had poured gasoline on herself in a protest outside the Dushanbe office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Gulhehra Shodmonova is the mother of Hussein Abdusamadov, a suspect in a deadly attack on a group of foreign cyclists on July 29. She was protesting against the OSCE for its conference invitation to a political leader who has been accused of influencing her son to carry out the attack.
