Death Toll Rises From Afghan Bank Attack

The death toll from a bomb attack on a bank in Afghanistan has risen to nearly 40.

Officials say more than 70 others were injured in the attack on February 19 in Jalalabad in the east of the country.

Gunmen and suicide bombers dressed as border police attacked the local branch of Kabulbank.

The Taliban later claimed responsibility, saying three suicide bombers had entered the bank when Afghan security forces were collecting their salaries.
