U.S. President Donald Trump said a chemical attack against civilians in Syria "crossed a lot of lines." At a joint news conference in Washington with Jordan's King Abdullah II on April 5, Trump said his attitude towards Syria's President Bashar Assad had "changed very much." The United States and other Western countries accuse the Assad government of carrying out a chemical attack on the town of Khan Sheikhoun on April 4. Russia and Assad's government claim that the toxic gas was released when Syrian air strikes hit a rebel weapons depot. (AP)
