Turkey says it has identified a suspect in a suicide bomb attack that killed 32 people in a predominantly Kurdish city bordering Syria.
Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on July 21 that the man's international and domestic links were being investigated.
He said there was a "high probability" the July 20 attack in the southeastern Turkish town of Suruc was carried out by a suicide bomber with connections to Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria.
Anger flared on July 21 among Turkey’s Kurdish minority, with demonstrators blaming Turkey’s government for not doing enough to protect them or fight against IS militants.
The bombing targeted a cultural center as a group of Kurdish youth activists was conducting a press conference on plans to rebuild the neighboring Syrian city of Kobani.
Kobani has been the site of fierce fighting between IS militants and Kurdish fighters.
Davutoglu said a cabinet meeting scheduled for July 22 would look at additional security measures for Turkey's border with Syria.
